Sewer Line Repair and Replacement

Works Plumbing has the expertise and special equipment needed for line repair and replacement. In addition to traditional repair and replacement methods for minor and major projects, we utilize the latest technology for troubleshooting sewer and drain lines, including camera inspections.

Sanitary sewer or drain pipe cleaning, diagnostic leak testing and locating is essential to properly diagnose the problem areas within a sewer system and for determining the condition of the pipe. The cleaning of the system will remove buildup and clogs. Televising confirms bellies, root invasion, separations, pipe collapse or offsets within the sewage pipe allowing the evaluation of the sewer pipes to be as close to accurate as it can be.

In repair situations, once the testing is complete we are able to determine the sewer repair options that can be offered. We can diagnose and propose alternative solutions and quickly get into repairing damaged lines.

A sewer lateral is:

The underground pipe that connects a home to the main city sewer or a private septic system. Ownership of the lateral within city limits can vary based on each local municipality. Sewer laterals often make up more than half of the pipe in some systems. Unfortunately, the privately owned underground section of a lateral is often taken for granted until a problem erupts that can’t be ignored — such as raw sewage backing up into a home.

A number of things can compromise a sewer lateral. Foreign substances or objects flushed down a toilet can sometimes create a clog. Tree roots can push through the side of a lateral or over time, a very old sewer lateral pipe can simply corrode and crack.

Works Plumbing has many years of experience in working with sewer laterals. We have successfully installed new sewer laterals for new home construction as well as installed replacement laterals on existing homes and repaired existing laterals.
